This radio program ministry began on Septemper 6, 1998 by Fr Cleo Schmenk at St Joseph's Church in Paulding, Ohio. Father's creative insight was to developed a 30-minute radio program format where each program consisted of a reflection (following the liturgical calendar), faith-story interviews and music. The program was then put together by Lennie Roth with the assistance of Rick Small, WDFM station manager. A time slot was acquired for braodcast every Sunday morning at 8:30am from WDFW in Defiance, OH. The program reaches from Toledo, OH to Ft Wayne, IN. Although the program began with the name "Renew 2000," it was recently changed to "Living Seeds of Faith." Fr Cleo Schmenk recently retired, but the program continues on under the direction of Lennie Roth and with the help of John Sheeran and Deacon Andy McMahon. Lennie Roth is currently in the Deaconate formation program in the Diocese of Toledo. John Sheeran is a music minister and RCIA teacher at St Mary's Church in Van Wert. He currently provides technical audio support to assemble the programs. Deacon Andy McMahon is the Pastoral Leader at St Mary's Church in Van Wert and assists in fundraising,reflections and direction. This is our 7th year of broadcast. We recently added this website to our activities, where all of our programs since Sept 2004 can be listened to and downloaded. With God's help and your assistance, we hope to expand our activities and offer encouragement and enlightment for all sojourner on their faith journey.
